Light peels using alpha hydroxy (AHA) or beta hydroxy acid solutions (BHA) of glycolic, lactic, salicylic (or fruit) acids work on the outermost layer of your epidermis and are the most gentle. They may be a good option for you if you have sensitive skin and can also be performed in a series for maximum effectiveness.

TCA is a non-toxic chemical (trichloracetic acid), which has been used as a treatment for more than 20 years. When the old skin has been removed, what’s left is a new layer of undamaged cells that have both a smoother texture and more even color.
