The first few weeks after Letybo treatment are usually when patients notice the biggest change. But what happens three months later?
The 90-day mark can be a useful point to assess whether the effects are still noticeable, how much movement has returned, and whether you’re ready to consider another treatment.
If you’re new to Letybo and want to understand how the treatment works, its FDA-approved use, and how it compares with other neuromodulators, see our Letybo in Las Vegas guide. This article focuses specifically on how long Letybo lasts and what you can expect around the three-month mark.
Letybo is a botulinum toxin type A product approved by the FDA for the temporary improvement of moderate-to-severe glabellar lines in adults.
There isn’t a single number of days that Letybo lasts for every patient. Clinical studies show that the treatment effect develops after injection and gradually decreases as muscle activity returns.
In Phase 3 clinical research, improvement was measurable within the first few days, with treatment effects remaining statistically significant through Week 16 in one of the pivotal studies. That means some patients can continue to see improvement beyond the 12-week mark, although the degree of effect varies over time and from person to person.
For many patients, the three-to-four-month range can therefore be a useful reference point rather than a guaranteed expiration date.
Letybo doesn’t suddenly stop working at exactly 90 days.
Instead, its effect gradually decreases as the treated muscles begin to regain activity. You may notice more movement in the forehead or between the eyebrows, followed by a gradual return of lines that were previously softened.
How noticeable this is depends on factors such as your individual response, treatment area, muscle activity, and the amount of movement you naturally have in the area.
The 90-day point is therefore better viewed as a checkpoint than a deadline.
It can.
Clinical research has demonstrated measurable treatment effects beyond 12 weeks for some patients. In the BLESS Phase 3 studies, efficacy was evaluated at multiple follow-up points, including Week 16.
However, the fact that Letybo can remain effective after 90 days doesn’t mean everyone will have the same experience. Some people may notice the return of movement earlier, while others may continue to see a significant reduction in their glabellar lines beyond three months.
Letybo typically wears off gradually rather than all at once.
You may first notice subtle changes in movement before seeing a significant difference in the appearance of your lines. Over time, muscle activity continues to return and the treated area may begin to look closer to its pre-treatment appearance.
If you’re approaching the three-month mark and are unsure whether your treatment is still working, your injector can assess the amount of movement that has returned and determine whether another treatment is appropriate.
Letybo and Botox are both botulinum toxin type A products and work by temporarily reducing muscle activity. Both are used cosmetically to soften dynamic facial lines, although their FDA-approved indications and product formulations differ.
Duration isn’t necessarily identical for every patient or treatment. Individual response, dosage, treatment area, muscle activity, and treatment history can all influence how long the visible effect lasts.
It’s also important to remember that Letybo units and Botox units are not interchangeable. The FDA labeling specifically states that Letybo units cannot be converted directly into units of other botulinum toxin products.
If you’re considering switching from Botox to Letybo, your injector should determine the appropriate treatment plan rather than applying a simple unit-for-unit conversion.
The duration of a neuromodulator treatment isn’t determined by the product alone.
Factors that can influence your individual result include:
This is why online claims that a particular neuromodulator will last exactly three or four months shouldn’t be treated as a guarantee.
A three-month follow-up isn’t necessarily about deciding whether Letybo “worked” or “failed.”
Instead, it can help you evaluate how your result has changed since treatment.
Your provider may look at:
For patients who regularly receive neuromodulators, this can also provide useful information when deciding whether to continue with the same product or discuss another option.
The best neuromodulator isn’t necessarily the newest or the one that promises to last the longest. Your treatment history, anatomy, goals, and response to previous products matter.
At Simply Radiant, Letybo is one of the neuromodulator options available alongside other established products. If you’re approaching the three-month mark and want to discuss your next treatment, your provider can assess your current result and help determine the appropriate option.

Letybo does not have a fixed duration for every patient. Clinical studies show that its effects can remain noticeable beyond 12 weeks, while the treatment effect gradually decreases as muscle activity returns.
For glabellar lines, FDA labeling states that Letybo should not be administered more frequently than once every three months. Your provider can determine whether you’re ready for another treatment based on your individual response.
There is no guaranteed difference in duration between Letybo and Botox for every patient. Both are botulinum toxin type A products, and individual factors such as dosage, treatment area, muscle activity, and treatment history can affect how long results remain visible.
